The company was incorporated on 7 th July , 1976 with an authorized start-up capital of KD 2.000.000/-. At present the authorized and fully paid up share capital consists of 62.500.000 shares of KD 0.100 each .

 The company performs the following activities :

Import of bulk cement to supply the local market in loose or filled cement (i.e. either in bulk carriers or in bags)  The types of cement are Ordinary Portland Cement Type I ( OPC) and Sulphate Resisting Cement Type V (SRC) conforming to ASTM-C-150.

Erection , operations management and rental of stores required for all kinds of cement for distribution .

To invest surplus funds in financial portfolios managed by specialized institutions . The company may also cooperate in any form with other associations which have similar activities or which could assist the company in achieving its objectives in Kuwait or abroad . It may also acquire or take over such companies.

The objects of the company were amended on 30 June 1992 to include trading in construction materials .

The company also supplies deformed steel bars with sizes 8mm , 10mm, 12mm , 14mm , 16mm , 18mm , 20mm , 25mm & 32mm in 12meters length in conformity to ASTM A GRADE 60 .

Article (43) of the articles of association was altered so that the financial year end will be 31 December of each year .
